Holiday Pep-Talk

Dear Saints,

As we head toward the Christmas season, perhaps your life is like mine - it gets busier and busier. Our schedules are stuffed full with Christmas presents to buy, family parties to attend, church activities to serve at, and . . . whew! By the time December 25 comes around, we're too pooped to celebrate the true reason for the season.

So in advance of the holiday rush, let's all pause for a pep-talk. May these words energize you to make it through the holidays, and empower you to live them as holy days.

First, you are loved! God loves you from the bottom of His enormous heart. He created you in His own beautiful image. And He loves you so much, He is more than willing to leave His privileged place in Heaven to come to Earth so that He could personally meet you in your place of need. That's the meaning of Christmas.

Second, you have a purpose! You ain't no cosmic mistake. God placed you in this specific time and place for a very important reason. And God has given you certain gifts, personalities, and relationships that will allow you to fulfill your life's purpose. This Christmas, look around - not merely for sales, but for ways you can help meet others' needs.

Third, you are not alone! You have a support group in your journey to find purpose and meaning in life. Brothers and sisters are nearby ready and waiting to assist you, listen to you, and encourage you. It's called the church! As we lift each other up and walk together towards God's best, we at First Chinese Church of Christ will leave an incredible, and eternal legacy of blessing on our community.

So, have a great Christmas season and Happy holy days!

Until next time, God bless you!
