Getting Connected

Dear Friend,

God bless you for worshipping with us! Many of us are constantly on-the-go. Yet in the midst of our crowded streets and busy schedules, it's funny how our lives can sometimes feel lonely and without meaning or purpose.

Here at First Chinese Church of Christ, we love to see people get out of the ruts of loneliness, depression, or lack of purpose, and get into positive relationships with others who will motivate and inspire them to live life anew. If you are looking to get connected to other people and to your own God-given purpose in life, there are several opportunities at FCCC you'll enjoy taking advantage of in the upcoming weeks.

First, new Ohana Groups (small groups of people united around a common interest, activity, need, or locality) are right now being formed. Join an Ohana Group! Or start a new one according to your talents and interests! You'll get connected to a close fellowship of men and women who will love and encourage you, and whom you can encourage, towards God's best.

Second, a 5-week, new members class will begin on September 11. If you currently don't have a church home, we invite you to consider joining ours. We're not perfect. But we do promise to nurture you as best we can, and walk with you to Love God, Love People, and Share the Good News.

Third, our new worship service targeting the unchurched is now preparing for its Grand Opening on Christmas Sunday, December 25. If you are saved, you know there is no greater purpose in life than bringing others to salvation in Jesus Christ. This new worship service is designed to assist you in sharing the Good News with unsaved friends in seeker-sensitive, creative, and relevant ways. The Dream Sunday planning sessions for this new worship are meeting regularly. Check it out, and help make it a worship where, week-by-week, new people are being saved and lives are being transformed.

So, get connected. You'll be glad you did!

Until next time, God bless you!
