God's Team

Dear Saints,

At First Chinese Church of Christ, we believe that no person is too big or too small to be part of our church team. That’s why we have an “open-door” policy for our ministries and groups.

You are warmly welcome to check out a ministry or small group that you are interested in. Perhaps you like technical stuff. See one of the audio-visual people and tell them you’d like to assist them in what they do. Maybe you love children, or cooking. Try sitting in on a children’s class on Friday nights or Sunday mornings. Or ask to help out in the kitchen during our next fellowship meal. There’s so much you can do.

In addition, we will soon be starting our new Ohana Groups. These are smaller groups of five to ten or so people who meet regularly to encourage each other toward God’s best. While the members of our church board will initiate start-up Ohana groups, all will be encouraged to join or form an ohana group soon. So get ready for this new fellowship opportunity coming your way.

And remember, our church is more than a beautiful building, and much more than its pastoral staff. The church is a group of people, including you and me, who have been touched by Jesus. And after we have been touched, Jesus calls us to touch others’ hearts in His Name. By joining an existing FCCC ministry or small group, or helping start a new one, you are answering the call of the Master. And that’s when the church really becomes God’s team.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Ling
